A “clean break” offer was made to buy controversial housing project in Meath
MDS, the builders of a controversial housing development at the Ringfort Estate in Rathmoylon, Meath, made a €3 million offer 18 months ago to buy the 16 houses last year. The builders said this would give the financier of the project, an investment vehicle of entrepreneur Joe Elias called Spudmuckers Ltd, a “clean break” from the troubled project, but it would have required taking a loss of €1.5 million.
