Aryzta settles legal wrangle with former chief executive Kevin Toland
When Kevin Toland departed as chief executive from Cuisine de France owner Aryzta in late 2020 with a 1.77 million Swiss franc (€1.9 million) payoff, there was, it seems, unfinished business to resolve. And not just for Toland. The Swiss-based bakery brands company had been convulsed by an investor revolt and executives streamed out of the business. Among those who exited along with the CEO were Gregory Sklikas, the former chief executive for Europe, the chief people officer, Anthony Murphy, and John Heffernan, the former chief commercial officer of Aryzta North America.
